Collaborative website iteration project will provide fans with up-to-date news on the Tokyo games
thunder::tech is pleased to announce an evolving partnership and brand new website iteration project with
USA Track & Field (USATF), a longtime partner, designed to assist in scaling up digital efforts in advance of the 2021 Games in Tokyo, Japan. This new phase of the companies’ existing partnership also establishes thunder::tech as the official technology sponsor of USATF.
The thunder::tech web development team will design and implement a user-centric site iteration in advance of the upcoming games and trials. The new iteration of USATF’s current site will serve as a one-stop shop for everything users need to know about the upcoming games. Updates include a schedule of events, athlete and team profiles, important news and photo galleries.
thunder::tech will also aid USATF by providing support via its Web and SysOps team. The team will boost USATF’s web hosting infrastructure to handle increased traffic during the Games. In addition, thunder::tech has developed virtual interview rooms to provide a seamless experience for the media to talk with the athletes in spite of COVID-19 attendance restrictions.
Working with USA Track and Field has been an incredible partnership the past couple of years,” said Jason Therrien, president at thunder::tech. “We were honored to be asked to help them scale up to meet the demands of the Tokyo games. We're absolutely thrilled to be supporting USATF and our country's best track and field athletes to look their best this summer online.”
